The Centre came as results of high rate of poverty in the area during 2004. It caters for children who were left orphaned and vulnerable through HIV/AIDS pandemic and also destitute families emanating from a nearby informal settlement and surrounding farms.

We are very well situated, in the midst of one of the most deprived rural squatter camps in Reagile, Koster in the Kgetlengrivier Municipality of the North West Province of South Africa and because of our Organizations’ construction, we are capable to help where it really Matters: at grass root level. Immanuel Hope Center is located in the Kgetlengrivier local Municipality which is semi urban with minimal opportunities of employment. The social problem experience in this area is: HIV/AIDS prevalence at 45%, Unemployment rate of 60% of economically active people, Crime rate of 50% of all reported cases at Police station, Malnutrition and illiteracy at 40%, child abuse and neglected at 40%, teenage pregnancy at 33%, elderly abuse at 30% and domestic violence at 40%. People in the area are predominantly farm workers and domestic workers. Most households are women and child headed households whom mostly depend on Social grants as a means of survival whilst other has no means at all.
